QUOTE OF THE DAY (OR MORE): "No, no. You don't understand. This is an '89 Calico. I'm pretty sure that exceeds the Kelly Blue Book value. The cat's totaled." --A comedian whose name I forget talking about a vet who presents a $3,000 bill for a 12-year-old cat

I am a good mom

There are exactly 3 chocolate chip cookies left, and the TWO boys get home from school in a half hour.
I think I need to eat one of them so that they're not fighting over who gets the extra, yes? (Fractions, smactions)
God I'm a good mom...

  3. You ARE a good mom! I might even go a step further and eat all three to avoid the possibility of the children developing a sweet tooth (errr...teeth).

Did you go to Bruce on Monday?

  4. I think eating one is really you're only solution. What a smart mom, you are!

  5. As I type I'm scarfing down Halloween chocolate by the handsful. So my kids can avoid tooth decay, of course.

See, people don't realize the sacrifices we make as mothers.

  6. Personally, I wouldn't have had a problem with you eating ALL the cookies, and playing the "Cookies? There were no cookies" card when the dudes got home.

  10. You know, one cookie is really just gonna piss them off. So I say why make them mad? Eat them all and have peace after school!

    You're brilliant.
Yep, you're one smart cookie. Or three.

  15. I like your logic! I'm bad mom, I hid all the Baby Ruths that I found in my kid's trick or treat bags.

  16. Thank God you were there to recognize and then quickly defuse the situation!

That could've been ugly. Way to take one for the team.

  17. Sheesh! By the time I got over here, those three were gone and all the cookies from the new batch you made were gone.

I'll expect a batch to be sent down here real soon now, ya hear?
