QUOTE OF THE DAY (OR MORE): "No, no. You don't understand. This is an '89 Calico. I'm pretty sure that exceeds the Kelly Blue Book value. The cat's totaled." --A comedian whose name I forget talking about a vet who presents a $3,000 bill for a 12-year-old cat

keys + unlocking front door = I hafta pee

I could be in the middle of a desert, not having had a drop of water to drink for days, and if I suddenly happened upon a house which needed unlocking (I know, pretty impossible that a house in the middle of the desert would be locked), I would suddenly need to pee.

Have you ever noticed this Pavlovian link between unlocking the door and the urge to go?

oy vey.

  1. Not specifically, but I HAVE noticed that no matter what stage of "code yellow" you're at, when you finally get to the toilet it seems like you couldn't have held it even one more second.

    Or is that just me?

  2. I've got a similar problem; whenever I'm in a car, stuck in traffic, miles from any possible restroom, I have to go.

  3. It's not unlocking the house, it's arriving at the rest stop/gas station. Dang! Make a run for it.

  4. I'm developing "nervous bladder" or something because for me it's when I have to make a presentation or have an important appointment or something like that. Yikes.

  5. I have noticed that when we are road tripping I will think I am gonna die, and once I get into where I need to be, I can't go.

    TMI?

  6. It is one of life's certainties; death, taxes and having to pee when you can't get the door unlocked!

  7. That used to happen to me when I was little and my friends and I would play hide and seek. As soon as I found the perfect hiding spot, I immediately had the raging urge to poop. Every. Single. Time.
