QUOTE OF THE DAY (OR MORE): "No, no. You don't understand. This is an '89 Calico. I'm pretty sure that exceeds the Kelly Blue Book value. The cat's totaled." --A comedian whose name I forget talking about a vet who presents a $3,000 bill for a 12-year-old cat

Loathing laundry

Dearest members of my immediate family (all of whom read this blog, I know...):
See the maid in the picture in a uniform with the nice, clean, folded towels?
Not your life. It's from a dream you had.
From hence forth, any dirty clothes placed into the hamper inside out will be returned clean, yet in the identical inside-out position. Capiche?
My preference would be to do less laundry altogether, so if you would all go around naked I would greatly appreciate it.
Sincerely and with utmost love,
Your wife and mom

  1. I tried mandating that anything not put in the hamper would not get washed. I was just left with piles of dirty clothes everywhere. Gave up. I do not have kids, so just the hubby to be annoyed with.
I passed on your award as an addendum on my last post. Thanks again!

  6. Yeah. I just have the Hubby but I'm not picking up after him. I think I generate more laundry than he does because his gym washes his workout clothes.

    Good luck with your mandate!

I can't remember how I got here but if you run, you can't be that bad! ;-)

  7. The irritating thing about laundry is that it's never done. There's always more waiting for you even if you think you just did the LAST LOAD. Because there is never a last load.

I loathe the laundry to. And making dinner.

  8. Yeah. That's right - mama-face.

Yes, I run. I started running in college for exercise but didn't do much with it. I stopped and finally got back into it a few years ago. I've done two half-marathons but a full marathon seems elusive right now. I'd like to eventually do a triathlon if I can ever get the swimming thing going!

  9. How about folding the dirties and seeing if anyone notices?

  10. My Fave? I know you want to know...the underwear attached to the pants.
How lazy do you have to be to not bother with removing them from your body one at a time?

How stupid do you have to be to keep on separating them...?

  11. I've said it before and I'll say it again...laundry is the devil!

I love when I find folded clean clothes in the dirty basket. Being too lazy to put clean clothes away is such a "load" of crap! Or is having the opportunity to wash, dry and fold them again a privilege?

  12. Oh come on, if it's near the hamper you know it's supposed to be washed. Do we have to do EVERYTHING for you?

    Sheesh.

  13. I would be pleased to have someone do my laundry whether it was returned inside out, outside in, or pink.

  14. ..."Not your life..."
I love that and am going to swipe it. How do you feel about inside out socks in little balls? ugh!

Please feel free to let me know what you think - especially if you like it. If not, please reconsider (just kidding!) I can take constructive criticism! Really I can...
