QUOTE OF THE DAY (OR MORE): "No, no. You don't understand. This is an '89 Calico. I'm pretty sure that exceeds the Kelly Blue Book value. The cat's totaled." --A comedian whose name I forget talking about a vet who presents a $3,000 bill for a 12-year-old cat

Prozac, please?

So... summer has begun. i.e.- the boys are out of school. And I work at home.

"How's it going so far with the boys home?" well meaning friends will ask me...

Simultaneously, the door opens, a boy runs inside, quickly followed by a water balloon that shatters all over my hallway.

"Great," I answer. "It's going just great."

  3. I love summer. The carpets get dirty, the walls start collecting more handprints, and my food costs threaten to put me in the poor house, but I love the noise and adventure and free time. Water balloon in the hallway, though, might cause me to have to eat an extra chocolate bar just so to make coping easier.

  7. As a former young boy, I can help. They are running around throwing water balloons because they are bored. They need a hobby. I would recommend buying them a chimpanzee.

  8. I had four brothers growing up and I remember that kind of chaos. Always wrestling, always running, always getting into things. I was always on my bed reading. I do like Jeff's suggestion. Either a chimpanzee or a cage:)

  9. Ah, the joys of summer. I can totally see that scene playing out. Hmm. Now that I think about it, it DID play out when I was a kid. Often.

  12. My answer is similar to your solution... but mind is called Prestiq. It's new on the market, but keeps me sane. My husband calls it the "happy" pill. LOL

  13. No Prozac... I think it has to build up in your system before it will help. Instead, try:
    Xanax
    Patron
    Syrah
Hitting yourself in the head with a hammer

One of those will work for sure.

  14. Why make the pharmaceutical industry richer when you can accomplish the same effect...much cheaper...with a good stiff drink? lol

Please feel free to let me know what you think - especially if you like it. If not, please reconsider (just kidding!) I can take constructive criticism! Really I can...
