QUOTE OF THE DAY (OR MORE): "No, no. You don't understand. This is an '89 Calico. I'm pretty sure that exceeds the Kelly Blue Book value. The cat's totaled." --A comedian whose name I forget talking about a vet who presents a $3,000 bill for a 12-year-old cat |

You do remember the five second rule? Pick it up within that amount of time, brush it off and then go for it. I have done this many an time unless of course at the barn where manure in all forms is everywhere. But, at home where the floors are generally clean, I don't worry about it so much. Chocolate is chocolate after all.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable picture!! Yes I agree that would be very sad - of course any chocolate cake we have around here doesn't have any time alone to fall.
ReplyDeleterally (intransitive verb) to quickly pick up fallen chocolate, rinse under running water, pat dry and eat.
ReplyDeleteJen - that's assuming I have generally clean floors; alas, my dog sleeps under my desk chair... Kim - thanks for your sympathy. Vivienne - LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I experience that sadness the other day when I dropped a biscuit on the carpet. I picked it up--hopeful--but it was more fur than bread at that point.
ReplyDeleteI was going to site the 10 second rule . . . but it looks like someone else brought it to your attention. My thoughts would be, utter an exclamation of dissappointment and let the dog clean it up.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a cute picture. Its a cat, so he is sad because he is totally unable to annoy or be snotty to someone.
ReplyDeleteThe chocolate thing would send me running for some prozac, Im afraid. I cant really think of anything worse.
I feel your pain. I don't think the 5 second rule applies when there is dog hair involved. Bleck!
ReplyDeleteIf the hair is your own or from your own pet it doesn't count, at least that's the rule at our house!
ReplyDeleteDog hair is the worst! A good way to ruin a piece of chocolate.
